This is just slightly worrying.

Created by the "Museum of Media History", EPIC is a Flash clip tracking media trends that ultimately shapes the way news is digested in 2014.

Naturally the giants Microsoft, Google and Amazon are mentioned and what is scary is how plausible the short clip is, eventually ending with the rise of Googlezon and the demise of newspapers as we know it.

I shudder to think what the media would really be like in 2014.

And for those interested, here's the blog of the creators, Robin Sloan and Matt Thompson.

Melody, I found it hilarious to think that the mighty New York Times will be reduced to a newsletter for old people and the elite. LOL! However, they would've re-invented themselves and catered to a specific niche of print traditionalists. Ok, about EPIC....it's plausible. But why would I want my news to be a snippet of different news cutn and pasted from all over the place when all I want is the plain truth? Ahhhh, commercialism. If it's sellable, people will buy it. Hmmm...scary.
